Aga

The servicing requirements differ between models but the general rule of thumb for oil fired Aga cookers is every six months whilst other fuels require annual servicing; Please contact us to discuss your servicing requirements.

Repairs and Maintenance

Should your Aga or Rayburn cooker develop a fault from a loose towel rail to a complete breakdown then we can usually sort it for you. Get in touch to book an appointment.

With some of the older oil-fired Rayburn models it is becoming harder to source parts. However with Joel’s contacts within the industry we do our best to source those hard to find parts to keep your Rayburn going. We can also source replacement burners for all 400 series cookers including the early 460K, 480K and 499K.

If you have been told your Rayburn is ‘beyond repair’, as many people find with their older Gas and solid fuel models, or if you feel your leaking Rayburn is not worth fixing then we can offer a cost-effective electric conversion - why scrap your faithful Rayburn when we can give it another lease of life?

Re-enamelling and Renovating

Freshen up your cooker with new lid and door liners, or why not have your whole top plate re-enamelled - click here for more info about reconditioning.

Aga Insulation Upgrade

Replenishing and upgrading your Aga’s insulation is a cost effective and easy way to improve the efficiency of your Aga and can be completed at the same time as your cooker is serviced.

The efficiency of an Aga Cooker comes from the high volume of granular vermiculite insulation packed inside. Combined with the insulating lids over the hotplates, the heat is kept inside the cooker where you want it. Over time this vermiculite insulation can settle allowing heat to escape from the core of the cooker. This leads to increased running costs, longer heat recovery times and a very hot kitchen!

Topping up vermiculite insulation and replacing the under hob mineral wool blanket for a modern ceramic super insulator material will leave your cooker with better efficiency than when it was new, reducing fuel bills and carbon emissions. Further improvements can be made by replacing the insulation in the lids and oven doors along with the lid and door liners. Contact us to discuss insulation upgrade options.
